Dr. Juan M. Gonzalez has over 20 years of experience in emergency care and a strong focus on the use of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) in clinical practice and education. He is a Professor of Clinical and serves as Associate Dean of the Undergraduate Nursing Programs at the University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies. Dr. Gonzalez is committed to advancing POCUS education and is actively involved in teaching nurses, physicians, and nurse practitioner students how to integrate ultrasound into clinical practice. His work emphasizes the use of POCUS to enhance clinical assessment, improve diagnostic accuracy, guide procedures and treatment decisions, and ultimately improve patient care. Dr. Gonzalez is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. His clinical and academic work focuses on advancing nursing education, emergency care, and the integration of innovative technologies into clinical practice.
