Dr. Haley Hays, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, ENP-C, AGACNP-BC, serves as Assistant Dean of the West Nebraska Division, Clinical Assistant Professor, and Emergency Nurse Practitioner Specialty Coordinator at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing. In addition to her academic leadership and faculty roles, Dr. Hays maintains an active clinical practice as both a Partner and Nurse Practitioner with Aligned Providers of Wyoming, primarily practicing emergency and acute care medicine in Kimball, Nebraska.Dr. Hays earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Wyoming in 2017. She subsequently completed a post-graduate Emergency Nurse Practitioner certificate at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2019 and a post-graduate Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certificate at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2021.With more than 17 years of healthcare experience, including over 11 years in emergency nursing and advanced practice, Dr. Hays has dedicated much of her career to improving emergency care in rural and critical access settings. Her professional interests center on rural emergency care, advanced practice provider education and workforce development, emergency nurse practitioner preparation, and strengthening access to high-quality emergency care in rural communities.
